Fix a pixelated image
A thumbnail saved instead of the original, a tiny profile picture, an image pulled off a website. PixelUp rebuilds the detail that the pixels stand in for.

From blocks to detail
Pixelation is missing information. Ordinary resizing smooths the blocks into blur. PixelUp reconstructs edges and texture instead.
Edges reconstructed, not smoothed
The model recognises what the blocks were part of, a jawline, a letter, a leaf, and redraws the edge at the new size. The result is sharp rather than soft.
- Works from images a few hundred pixels wide
- Faces are kept the same person

Up to 4K from a thumbnail
A 200-pixel image can come out at 1K, 2K or 4K. Very small sources have less to recover, so 1K is often the honest ceiling; the preview shows you before you spend more.
- Free preview before any paid size
- Choose 1K, 2K or 4K per image

Compression damage removed too
Pixelated images are usually also heavily compressed. JPEG blocks, ringing around edges and color banding are cleaned in the same run.
- Clean gradients in skies and skin
- No halo around edges

Questions people ask before uploading
Is this free?
Sign in with your email and get 12 free credits, enough for two runs. After that each run costs 6 credits at 1K, 10 at 2K, 16 at 4K, with the download included.
How small can the source be?
Anything works, but under about 150 pixels on the long edge there is little to recover and results look painted. Between 200 and 800 pixels is where the improvement is biggest.
Will a pixelated face look like the person?
The face model is constrained to keep identity, so yes, as long as the face is recognisable in the source. It will not turn a 20-pixel face into a stranger.
Is this the same as upscaling?
It is the same engine. This page is about fixing the look of a blocky image; the Upscale page is about choosing an output size. Both let you pick 1K, 2K or 4K.
Can it fix pixelated text or logos?
Yes, when the letters or shapes are still partly readable. Completely lost characters are not invented.
What sizes can I download?
1K, 2K or 4K on the long edge, as JPG or PNG. 4K is about 4096 pixels, enough for an A3 print.
