Upscale an image for printing

A phone photo that looks fine on screen falls apart on paper. PixelUp enlarges it with real detail so it prints sharp at A4, A3 or canvas size.

Pixels per inch, without the maths

Printers want about 300 pixels per inch. A 4K file covers an A3 print at that density, and PixelUp gets any photo to 4K.

Enough pixels for the print size

A 1,200-pixel photo prints well at 10 cm. The same photo at 4K prints at 35 cm on the long edge at full quality, and larger at a normal viewing distance.

  • 2K for A4 and 20×30 cm
  • 4K for A3, posters and canvas

Detail that survives paper

Paper is less forgiving than a screen; soft edges that looked fine online show as blur in print. The pass sharpens edges and rebuilds texture at the output size.

Noise and banding cleaned

Low-light grain and gradient banding become obvious at print size. Both are removed in the same run, which also helps the print lab's own processing.

Questions people ask before uploading

Is this free?

Sign in with your email and get 12 free credits, enough for two runs. After that each run costs 6 credits at 1K, 10 at 2K, 16 at 4K, with the download included.

What size print can I make from 4K?

At 300 pixels per inch, about 35 cm on the long edge, which is A3. For canvas and posters viewed from a distance, 150 pixels per inch is plenty, which takes 4K to about 70 cm.

Will the print lab accept the file?

Yes. Download as JPG for most labs or PNG if they ask for it. The file carries no watermark.

Can it fix a photo that is slightly out of focus?

Mild softness, yes. Heavy motion blur is reduced but not removed; the preview shows you honestly before you buy a size.

Is the aspect ratio changed?

No. The photo keeps its proportions. Crop to the print ratio in your phone editor before uploading if you need a specific shape.

What sizes can I download?

1K, 2K or 4K on the long edge, as JPG or PNG. 4K is about 4096 pixels, enough for an A3 print.
